Osteo Panel

1800

This profile includes a set of blood tests, which aid doctors in assessing joint health, inflammation, and determining possible conditions of the joints and connective tissues. The word ‘osteo’ means relating to the bones. With age, bones and joints deteriorate and need further evaluation to find out the underlying cause of symptoms. In this case, an osteo panel can prove to be useful to assess how well the joints are functioning.

Serum Uric Acid helps detect elevated uric acid levels associated with gout; Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) and C-Reactive Protein (CRP) are inflammatory markers that indicate the presence and severity of inflammation within the body; Rheumatoid Factor (RF), an antibody commonly tested when rheumatoid arthritis is suspected, and Anti-Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide (Anti-CCP) Antibody, a highly specific marker for rheumatoid arthritis.

The Osteo profile can help provide a detailed overview of joint health and help doctors detect diseases at the earliest stage.  Based on the recommendations by doctors, this test will be highly useful for people experiencing things like unexplained joint discomfort and recurrent inflammation.
