  • Eat your normal meal unless your doctor advises otherwise. The blood sample should be collected exactly 2 hours after the start of your meal.
  • Do not skip or delay your meal, as this may affect the accuracy of the test results.
  • Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, are pregnant, or have any medical condition that may influence your blood glucose levels.
  • Tell your doctor and the laboratory staff about all medications, especially insulin, oral diabetes medicines, steroids, or other drugs that may affect blood sugar levels. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding medicines on the day of the test.
  • Drink water as usual unless your doctor has given you specific dietary instructions. Avoid strenuous physical activity before the blood sample is collected.
  • Arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled sample collection time to complete registration.
