Total Protein is useful in evaluating patients for nutritional status, liver disease, protein losing renal and gastrointestinal diseases. High levels are seen in patients with Monoclonal gammopathies, Autoimmune hepatitis and inflammation. The test contains Pro-T, Albumin, Globulin, and A/G Ratio.
