Our CEMRI Right Forearm at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy is an advanced and acclaimed MRI, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Pathology centre meeting NABL & NABH standards. Contrast-Enhanced MRI of the Right Forearm provides information on bones, muscles, tendons, nerves, blood vessels, and soft tissue to evaluate injuries, check for masses, inflammation, infection, and other abnormalities.
About CEMRI Right Forearm
CEMRI Right Forearm is a dedicated MRI examination with intravenous contrast that helps in visualizing structures of the right forearm. It may be used to help identify abnormalities when a routine MRI exam might not be enough.
What is CEMRI Right Forearm?
CEMRI Right Forearm can produce an in-depth image of the right forearm by employing magnetic fields, radio waves, and contrast agents. Contrast enhancement can provide information about vascularity/perfusion and enhancing tissue, but routine CEMRI is not a dedicated blood-flow study.
Common Reasons for CEMRI Right Forearm
CEMRI Right Forearm may be advised for:
Evaluation of soft-tissue masses or suspected tumours
Persistent or unexplained forearm pain or swelling
Suspected infection or inflammation
Assessment of muscle, tendon, or soft-tissue abnormalities
Evaluation of bone and bone marrow lesions
Assessment of nerve-related abnormalities
Further characterization of an abnormality detected on other imaging
Follow-up of previously diagnosed lesions or treatment
Conditions Evaluated
Soft-Tissue Masses and Tumours
Contrast-enhanced MRI can help assess the location, size, extent, and tissue characteristics of masses involving the right forearm.
Muscle and Tendon Abnormalities
The examination can help evaluate injuries, inflammation, tears, and other abnormalities involving muscles and tendons.
Bone and Bone Marrow Lesions
CEMRI can provide detailed information about abnormalities involving the bones and bone marrow of the right forearm.
Infection and Inflammation
Contrast enhancement may help identify areas of active inflammation or suspected infection involving the bone and surrounding soft tissues.
Nerve Abnormalities
The examination can assist in evaluating abnormalities involving nerves and surrounding tissues when nerve-related symptoms are present.
Post-Treatment Assessment
CEMRI may be used for follow-up of known lesions or to assess changes following treatment, surgery, or other interventions.

Test information: Fasting for 4–6 hours is required.
Reporting: Within 24 hours*
Fasting for 4–6 hours is required before the examination.
Follow the centre’s instructions regarding water intake and regular medicines before the scan.
Inform the medical team about any previous reaction to MRI contrast agents.
Inform the medical team if you have kidney disease or reduced kidney function, as contrast administration requires appropriate safety assessment.
Provide details of all current medicines and supplements.
Inform the MRI team about any pacemaker, implanted medical device, surgical clips, artificial joints, medication pumps, or other metallic implants.
Inform the team if you have ever had a metallic fragment injury, particularly involving the eyes.
Inform the medical team about any previous surgery, injury, biopsy, or treatment involving the right forearm.
Inform the team if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.
Bring previous MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound reports, prescriptions, and other relevant medical records.
Remove jewellery, watches, bracelets, and other metallic or magnetic objects before entering the MRI room.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the examination.
Inform the staff if pain, swelling, weakness, or restricted movement makes positioning difficult.
Remain still during image acquisition to reduce motion-related image distortion.
Report any unusual symptoms such as itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing difficulty, nausea, or discomfort after contrast administration.
The medical team reviews the patient’s symptoms, medical history, previous investigations, and clinical indication for CEMRI Right Forearm.
MRI safety screening is performed to identify pacemakers, implants, surgical clips, metallic fragments, or other devices that may affect MRI safety.
The patient is positioned comfortably with the right forearm placed appropriately, and a suitable dedicated MRI coil is used.
Initial MRI sequences are obtained using a strong magnetic field and radio waves to evaluate the bones, bone marrow, muscles, tendons, nerves, blood vessels, and surrounding soft tissues.
An intravenous line is placed, and a gadolinium-based contrast agent is administered after appropriate safety assessment.
Additional post-contrast sequences are obtained to assess abnormal enhancement, soft-tissue masses, lesions, inflammation, infection, vascularized areas, and post-treatment or post-surgical changes.
Multiple imaging planes and sequences are used to determine the location, size, extent, and relationship of any abnormality with surrounding structures.
The examination may include focused imaging of the muscles, tendons, nerves, vessels, bone marrow, or soft tissues depending on the clinical indication.
The patient is instructed to remain still throughout image acquisition to maintain image quality and reduce motion-related distortion.
Brief observation may be provided after contrast administration according to the examination protocol.
The radiologist reviews the images in correlation with the patient’s symptoms, clinical findings, medical history, and previous investigations.
Appropriate MRI and contrast-agent safety protocols are followed throughout the examination.
