₹13000

Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy is advanced and experienced in the field of Radiology and is equipped with state-of-the-art radiology equipment and experienced Radiologists to provide advanced, accurate & patient centric MRI packages for both wrists.MRI Both Wrists is a specialized MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) procedure that uses magnets to create a powerful magnetic field to image the bones and joints of the wrists, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, muscles, and nerves. Provides high-resolution images to help understand occupational wrist disorders, wrist pain, wrist swelling, and other issues.

What is MRI Both Wrists?

MRI Both Wrists combines powerful magnets and radiofrequency pulses to create detailed cross-sectional images of both wrists. It is a good tool for visualisation of soft tissues and joint structures and is not used with ionising radiation. The exam can assist in examining wrist pain, injuries, tendon and ligament issues, joint abnormalities, and more in one or both wrists.

Common Reasons for MRI Both Wrists

  • Persistent pain in one or both wrists
  • Wrist swelling or stiffness
  • Evaluation of tendon or ligament injuries
  • Assessment of cartilage and joint abnormalities
  • Investigation of unexplained soft tissue abnormalities
  • Evaluation of suspected inflammation or infection
  • Assessment of bone and bone marrow abnormalities
  • Further evaluation of findings seen on X-ray or ultrasound
  • Evaluation of nerve-related abnormalities
  • Assessment of injuries or chronic wrist problems

Conditions Evaluated

Tendon and Ligament Injuries

MRI provides detailed visualization of wrist tendons and ligaments and can help identify tears, inflammation, degeneration, and other abnormalities.

Joint and Cartilage Abnormalities

The examination can assess the wrist joints, cartilage, and surrounding structures for degenerative changes, inflammation, fluid accumulation, and other abnormalities.

Bone and Bone Marrow Conditions

MRI can help detect bone marrow changes, stress-related injuries, fractures, inflammation, and other abnormalities that may not be clearly visible on routine X-rays.

Soft Tissue Abnormalities

The examination provides excellent soft tissue contrast and can help identify masses, cysts, fluid collections, and other abnormalities involving the wrists.

Inflammatory Conditions

MRI can demonstrate inflammatory changes involving the joints, tendons, and surrounding soft tissues.

Nerve Abnormalities

The examination can assist in evaluating nerves around the wrist when symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness are present.

Wrist Injuries

MRI can help assess sports injuries, falls, repetitive-use injuries, and other trauma affecting the bones, joints, tendons, and ligaments of the wrists.

Benefits of MRI for Both Wrists

  • Detailed evaluation of both wrists
  • Excellent visualization of soft tissues and joint structures
  • Helps detect tendon, ligament, cartilage, and bone abnormalities
  • No exposure to ionizing radiation
  • Provides multiplanar, high-resolution images
  • Supports accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Useful for evaluating both acute and chronic wrist conditions
