Get your MRI Brain With Contrast at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, an NABL- and NABH-accredited diagnostic centre. In this advanced MRI examination, detailed images of the brain and surrounding structures are acquired. Contrast enhancement helps in providing additional information for selected abnormalities, including tumors, inflammation, infection, vascular changes, and other neurological conditions. This examination is performed under expert radiologist supervision with advanced MRI technology.
About MRI BRAIN WITH CONTRAST
A specialized MRI Brain With Contrast is used for detailed evaluation of the brain when additional information about the brain is required. In this examination, high-resolution MRI is combined with intravenous contrast enhancement, which helps to characterize selected abnormalities. A strong magnetic field and radio waves are used to create detailed images. No ionizing radiation is involved in this examination.
What is MRI BRAIN WITH CONTRAST?
This examination produces detailed cross-sectional images of the brain, including brain tissue, ventricles, meninges, blood vessels, and surrounding structures. Contrast material is administered when clinically indicated to improve visualization and characterization of certain abnormalities.
Common Reasons for MRI BRAIN WITH CONTRAST
Evaluation of suspected brain tumors or lesions
Assessment of inflammation or infection
Evaluation of neurological symptoms
Characterization of abnormal findings on previous imaging
Assessment of selected vascular abnormalities
Evaluation of multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating conditions
Assessment of postoperative or treatment-related changes
Evaluation of suspected abnormalities involving the meninges or brain tissue
Conditions Evaluated
Brain Tumors and Lesions
Contrast-enhanced MRI can help characterize certain brain tumors, masses, and other intracranial lesions.
Inflammatory and Infectious Conditions
MRI can help evaluate selected inflammatory or infectious changes involving the brain and surrounding structures.
Demyelinating Disorders
The examination can assist in evaluating conditions such as multiple sclerosis and other disorders affecting the brain's white matter.
Vascular Abnormalities
MRI can provide detailed information about selected abnormalities involving the brain and its blood vessels.
Meningeal Abnormalities
Contrast enhancement can help assess selected abnormalities involving the meninges and surrounding structures.
Postoperative and Treatment-Related Changes
MRI with contrast can provide additional information during selected postoperative or treatment follow-up evaluations.
Who Should Consider This Scan?
Your doctor may recommend an MRI Brain With Contrast if you have:
Persistent or unexplained neurological symptoms
Suspected brain lesion or tumor
Abnormal findings on previous imaging
Suspected inflammatory or infectious disease
Suspected demyelinating disorder
A need for detailed postoperative or treatment assessment
A need for further characterization of an intracranial abnormality
Benefits of MRI BRAIN WITH CONTRAST
Detailed imaging of brain structures
Contrast enhancement for selected abnormalities
