MRI RIGHT UPPER ARM

₹7000

Book an MRI Right Upper Arm at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, an advanced, well-equipped diagnostic centre that is NABL & NABH accredited. An MRI of the right upper arm create detailed images of the humerus, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues of the upper arm, helping to investigate an unresolved issue that may include ongoing pain, swelling, and/or persistent pain, swelling, or suspected muscle injury, and other abnormalities in the tendon structure. It can also be used to monitor some swelling of soft tissues, swelling from inflammation, and to monitor some diseases affecting bone marrow. Good imaging methods and advanced MRI technology can be used to facilitate the clinical examination and medical treatment plan.

About MRI Right Upper Arm

This is a specialized MRI examination that can be useful in checking the upper arm (shoulder to elbow) on the right side. It provides a very detailed picture of the humerus and the muscles and soft tissues around it that helps the doctor make the correct diagnosis when you might have an injury, inflammation, or any other problem with the humerus. Trained imaging techniques will be used to aid in detailed evaluation and diagnostic reporting in Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy.

What is MRI Right Upper Arm?

A strong magnet and radio waves are used to produce a detailed image of the tissues of the right upper arm in an MRI Right Upper Arm. MRI does not involve the use of ionizing radiation, as do X-rays and CT scans. It will be helpful in evaluating muscles, tendons, soft tissue disease, and bone marrow diseases, particularly. If someone does not get better, or if the pain/weakness/swelling in the arm does not go away, a scan may be needed, or if a doctor needs more information about the injury or abnormality. Contrast is not routinely required and is given only if the referring doctor requests it.

Common Reasons for MRI Right Upper Arm

  • Active arm pain: Examines continuous arm pain and whether detailed examination of muscles, bones, or soft tissues is required.
  • Muscle injuries: Assesses muscle tears, strains, and injuries after injury, lifting, or trauma.
  • Lump/ swelling: Evaluates soft-tissue abnormalities or masses in the upper arm.
  • Suspected tendon injury: Assesses some selected disorders of tendinous structures that can cause pain or weakness.
  • Traumatic injuries: Provides more detail on soft tissue injuries after a collision or impact with an object.
  • Bone marrow abnormalities: Assesses a select number of conditions that affect the humerus that may not be fully evaluated using traditional radiographs.
  • Inflammation or infection: May aid the evaluation for possible inflammatory or infectious change when clinically indicated.

Conditions Evaluated

Muscle Strains and Tears

MRI can be helpful in the diagnosis of muscle injury and the location and severity of the injury. This may aid the physician in developing a treatment and recovery schedule.

Tendon and Soft-Tissue Injuries

The exam may provide detailed images of the soft tissues and may be useful in providing information regarding the damage to soft tissues in the upper arm, or any abnormality in the tendon.

Humerus and Bone Marrow Abnormalities

MR imaging can be used for selected abnormalities, such as bone bruising, stress-related changes, and other bone marrow abnormalities that should be further assessed in the humerus and surrounding bone marrow.

Post-Traumatic Changes

If additional findings on the exam after trauma remain unexplained or persistent, then MRI can be helpful to further assess any bone or soft tissue injury.
