MRI BOTH ANKLES WITH CONTRAST

₹16000

Get your MRI Both Ankles with Contrast at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, an NABL & NABH-accredited diagnostic centre that offers advanced Radiology and Imaging services.  This specialized MRI procedure gives detailed images of the ankle joints, including the bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, muscles, and surrounding soft tissues, with contrast material when clinically indicated to evaluate specific abnormalities.

About MRI Both Ankles with Contrast

MRI Both Ankles with Contrast is a complete examination using MRI to assess the anatomy of both ankles if contrast-enhanced imaging is indicated. It can offer important clues to soft-tissue findings, inflammation, infection, masses, anatomical changes to the joints, and more in the ankles. It may be recommended if X-rays are not enough or if a thorough evaluation of problems in both ankles is needed.

What is MRI Both Ankles with Contrast?

With a powerful magnetic field and radio waves, MRI Both Ankles with Contrast can capture detailed images of both ankle areas. During the examination, a contrast agent is injected, which highlights some tissues and abnormalities, providing more information for the radiologist. The scan can assess ankle and ankle joint bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, muscles, and surrounding soft tissue in both ankles.

Common Reasons for MRI Both Ankles with Contrast

  • Persistent or unexplained pain in one or both ankles
  • Suspected infection or inflammation
  • Evaluation of soft-tissue masses or lesions
  • Suspected bone or soft-tissue abnormalities
  • Assessment of tendon or ligament problems
  • Evaluation of joint abnormalities
  • Follow-up of known lesions or previous treatment
  • Assessment of post-surgical changes
  • Further evaluation of abnormalities detected on previous imaging

Conditions Evaluated

Bone and Bone Marrow Abnormalities

MRI can provide detailed information about the bones and bone marrow of both ankles, helping evaluate edema, inflammation, infection, lesions, and other abnormalities.

Joint and Cartilage Abnormalities

The examination can assess both ankle joints and cartilage for structural abnormalities, inflammation, and other changes.

Soft-Tissue Lesions

Contrast-enhanced MRI can help characterize soft-tissue masses and lesions by showing their extent and enhancement pattern.

Post-Surgical and Treatment Changes

The scan may be used to assess the ankles following surgery or treatment and to evaluate persistent or recurrent abnormalities.

Vascularized Lesions

Contrast enhancement can provide additional information about lesions with increased blood supply and help in their characterization.
