About X-Ray Both Ankle AP View
An X-Ray Both Ankle AP (Anteroposterior) View is a specific type of X-ray that is taken from the front of both ankle joints. Documenting both ankles helps allow a doctor to compare the affected ankle to the healthy ankle and will help him or her determine any subtle space or alignment abnormalities, fractures, or anything else. We utilize highly sophisticated digital radiography systems at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy to capture detailed pictures, which will help make an accurate diagnosis of any injury or disorder that is affecting your ankle.
What is an X-Ray Both Ankle AP View?
The X-Ray Both Ankle AP View is a rapid, painless, and inexpensive examination of the ankle bones and joints. It gives a detailed analysis of the distal tibia and fibula, talus, and ankle joint spaces, which can be evaluated to assess joint alignment and bone integrity. This is typically recommended for people who experience ankle pain, swelling, injury, or have problems walking.
