The skilled radiologists deliver optimal imaging while using limited radiation and reporting promptly for effective diagnosis and treatment planning.
About X-Ray Both Knee Joints AP & Lateral Views
An X-Ray Both Knee Joints AP & Lateral Views is a special radiographic study consisting of Anteroposterior (AP) and Lateral Views of both knees. These complementary perspectives allow for a thorough evaluation of the femur, tibia, fibula, patella (kneecap), joint spaces, and adjacent bony landmarks. Using both knees also helps doctors compare them to the other knee if necessary. At Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, we employ state-of-the-art digital imaging systems to capture detailed radiographs to enable accurate diagnosis of knee disorders.
What is an X-Ray of Both Knee Joints AP & Lateral Views?
An X-ray view of both knee joints, anterior and posterior (AP & Lateral View), is a quick, painless, non-invasive imaging examination that is used to view the bones and joints of both knees. AP view images the frontal view, whereas the lateral view shows a side profile of the body and allows the physicians to evaluate the bone alignment, spaces, fractures, and degeneration. This evaluation may be requested often when the knee is painful, injured, swollen, or if the knee mobility is limited.
