X-RAY BOTH WRISTS AP VIEW

500

Schedule an appointment for an X-ray of both wrists in AP View at Advanced Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, an NABL & NABH-accredited diagnostic centre, providing the finest Radiology & Pathology services. An advanced on-board X-ray imaging system provides an on-screen view of both wrist joints to help the doctor diagnose a wrist fracture, abnormal growth, arthritis, congenital deformities, and other conditions of the wrist. Our experienced radiologists provide high-quality images at minimal radiation levels and in timely reports to help guide appropriate diagnosis and treatment planning.

About X-Ray Both Wrists AP View

A specialized type of X-ray examination, called an X-ray Both Wrists AP (Anteroposterior) View, can be performed that will capture X-ray pictures of the front of the left wrist and the front of the right wrist. The distal radius, distal ulna, carpal bones, and wrist joints are shown in detail. Two views of each wrist can be obtained, which will aid in the diagnosis of subtle fractures, alignment abnormalities, and developmental variants in comparison with the other wrist. A highly sophisticated digital radiography system is used in Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy to deliver a much higher resolution image that enables an accurate evaluation of wrist injuries and disorders.

What is an X-Ray Both Wrists AP View?

X-ray Both Wrists AP View: Painless, fast, and safe imaging exam that checks bone and joint health of both wrists. The AP view will be helpful for bone alignment and joint spaces, fractures, degenerative changes, and any other abnormalities of the wrist, and will provide a view from the front. The exam is frequently ordered for patients who have wrist pain, wrist swelling, and decreased range of motion (ROM).

Common Reasons for an X-Ray of Both Wrists AP View

  • Wrist injury following a fall or accident
  • Persistent pain in one or both wrists
  • Suspected wrist fracture
  • Swelling or tenderness around the wrist
  • Difficulty moving the wrist
  • Evaluation of arthritis
  • Assessment of congenital wrist abnormalities
  • Follow-up after wrist surgery or treatment
