About X-Ray Cervical Spine AP View

An X-Ray of the Cervical Spine AP (Anteroposterior) View is a frequently done radiograph in which the spinal column of the neck is viewed from the front. A view that lets doctors assess alignment of the cervical spine, bodies, intervertebral spaces, and surrounding bone. For patients, a more detailed and comfortable image is generated, and for us, advanced digital systems help create clear and detailed images with maximum patient safety.

What is an X-Ray Cervical Spine AP View?

X-Ray Cervical Spine AP View is a rapid, painless, and non-invasive imaging test that looks at the bones of the neck. Usually done during a cervical spine examination and may be taken along with lateral or oblique views for a complete assessment. This check-up allows the doctor to see if there are injuries, spinal changes or devitalization, spinal deformities, or other cervical spine issues.

Common Reasons for an X-Ray Cervical Spine AP View

  • Evaluation of neck pain or stiffness
  • Assessment after neck injury or trauma
  • Detection of cervical spine fractures
  • Investigation of cervical spondylosis
  • Evaluation of spinal alignment
  • Assessment of degenerative disc disease
  • Follow-up after cervical spine treatment or surgery
  • Investigation of restricted neck movement
