Book an X-ray Cervico-Dorsal Spine AP & Lateral View at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, an NABL & NABH Accredited Diagnostic Centre that provides an array of advanced Radiology and Pathology services. Advanced McMiller Digital X-ray gives detailed views of the junction of the neck and upper back, known as the cervicodorsal (cervicothoracic) spine, from both the front (AP) and side (Lateral), allowing the doctor to diagnose fractures, abnormalities in the spine's alignment, progressive spinal changes, congenital spine problems, and other disorders in this region. A team of experienced radiologists provides high-quality images and timely reports for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning with minimal amount of radiation exposure for the patient at our diagnostic centre.

About X-Ray Cervico-Dorsal Spine AP & Lateral Views

An X-ray AP & Lat Cervico Dorsal Spine is a specialized X-ray of the radiolucent cervical spine through a region of the spine called the cervicothoracic junction, comprising the cervicothoracic spine topography. The complementary views offer an overall view of the vertebrae, spine alignment, intervertebral space, and surrounding bones. Applying our digital radiography systems, we're able to get a close-up look at the high end of the canine spine and evaluate cervicodorsal spine disorders at a high-resolution level at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy.

What is an X-Ray Cervico-Dorsal Spine AP & Lateral Views?

X-Ray Cervico-Dorsal Spine AP & Lateral Views is a short imaging test that checks the lower cervical and upper thoracic spine, which is fast, painless, and can be performed with the use of radiation. On the AP view, you'll get a picture of the thickness of your back, and on the lateral view, you'll see a side view of your spine, which enables doctors to detect fractures, alignment problems, degeneration of your spine, and other spine problems. This exam is often performed in individuals who experience ongoing neck pain, upper back pain, or any injury to the spine.

Common Reasons for an X-Ray Cervico-Dorsal Spine AP & Lateral Views

  • Persistent neck pain
  • Upper back pain
  • Injury following a road traffic accident or fall
  • Suspected cervical or upper thoracic fracture
  • Restricted neck movement
  • Evaluation of spinal curvature or alignment
  • Follow-up after spinal surgery or treatment
  • Assessment of degenerative spine disorders
