About X-Ray Chest PA View
The most common chest X-ray exam is a chest X-ray taken in PA (posteroanterior) position. This is based on a sender of the X-ray beam from the back (posterior) of the chest to the front (anterior) of the chest, standing in front of the detector. The view gives an overall more representative view of the heart & lungs and is the preferred view for routine exams of the Chest. For Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, we use state-of-the-art digital(radiographic) systems providing high-quality images with enhanced clarity and reduced radiation exposure.
What is an X-Ray Chest PA View?
A quick, painless, and non-invasive imaging test that can show a detailed picture of the lungs, heart, trachea, ribs, diaphragm, and other structures around the chest. It is commonly requested for diagnosis of infections, enlargement of the lungs and heart, and other abnormalities of the chest. This is usually the first imaging test performed on patients if they are having breathing problems or as part of general checks on their health.
