500

Get your X-Ray Left Scapula AP View at an NABL & NABH accredited Radiology & Pathology Diagnostic Centre, Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy. Our system provides a high-quality X-ray (Anteroposterior - AP) of the left shoulder blade (scapula), giving the doctor a good front view of the shoulder blade when diagnosing fractures, bone abnormalities, conditions affecting the joints, and more. With our dedicated and skilled radiologists, there is minimal radiation exposure and timely reports for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

About X-Ray Left Scapula AP View

This is an AP with the Left Scapula – a special type of X-ray study of the scapula that takes a picture of the front (anterior) of the scapula from the front. An excellent view of the body of the scapula, scapular spine, acromion, coracoid process, glenoid cavity, and surrounding bones. It is often used to assess injuries, fractures, or abnormalities of the shoulder blade. Advanced digital radiography systems are used at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy to capture high-resolution images used to accurately diagnose scapular injuries and musculoskeletal diseases.

What is an X-Ray Left Scapula AP View?

An X-Ray Left Scapula AP View is a fast, comfortable, and non-invasive radiologic test that assesses the left shoulder blade. The AP will help the doctor determine the alignment of bones, rule out fractures, diagnose structural problems, and look for changes in the bones that may be caused by degeneration or trauma involving the scapula. Shoulder pain, trauma, swelling, and decreased motion of the shoulder are often indications for this examination.

Common Reasons for an X-Ray Left Scapula AP View

  • Left shoulder injury following a fall or accident
  • Persistent pain around the shoulder blade
  • Suspected scapular fracture
  • Swelling or tenderness over the shoulder
  • Difficulty moving the shoulder
  • Evaluation of bone lesions or abnormalities
  • Follow-up after fracture treatment or surgery
  • Assessment of chronic shoulder pain

Conditions Evaluated

Scapular Fractures

Detects fractures involving the body, spine, acromion, coracoid process, or neck of the scapula.

Bone Alignment Abnormalities

Evaluates alignment changes caused by trauma or injury.

Osteoarthritis

Assesses degenerative changes involving the shoulder joint and adjacent bony structures.

Bone Lesions

Helps identify bone cysts, tumors, or other abnormalities affecting the scapula.

Congenital Bone Abnormalities

Evaluates developmental abnormalities involving the shoulder blade.

Post-Traumatic and Post-Surgical Changes

Monitors healing following fractures, orthopedic surgery, or other treatments.
