Book an X-Ray Maxilla AP View at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, a high-quality Radiology & Pathology advanced diagnostic centre, accredited by NABL & NABH. An X-ray of the top portion of the face (maxilla and other facial bones) from front to back (anteroposterior or AP view) aids in the diagnosis of abnormalities, infections, tumors, and fractures. Quick, painless, minimal-radiation imaging test that aids in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

About X-Ray Maxilla AP View

Upper X-ray of the jaw or maxilla (AP View) is a special type of X-ray to look at the upper teeth, other facial bones, and the maxilla (upper jaw bone) and neighboring structures. It is generally done after injuries to the face or when someone suspects abnormality, bone disease, or infection in the upper jaw. At Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, high-quality pictures with low radiation exposure are delivered thanks to the advanced digital X-ray technology for accurate and reliable diagnosis.

What is an X-Ray Maxilla AP View?

An X-ray Maxilla AP View takes a smaller dose of X-ray radiation to make detailed views of the upper jaw from front to back. The scan evaluates the alignment, integrity, and health of the maxillae and adjacent face.

Common Reasons for an X-Ray Maxilla AP View

  • Facial injury or trauma
  • Suspected maxillary fracture
  • Pain or swelling in the upper jaw
  • Evaluation of facial bone abnormalities
  • Assessment of bone infections
  • Investigation of cysts or tumors
  • Follow-up after facial surgery or fracture treatment
  • Congenital facial abnormalities

Conditions Evaluated
