Micturating Cystourethrogram (MCU) is a special X-ray study using a dye that takes pictures of both the bladder and the tube (urethra) that men pass urine through, as the bladder fills and empties during urination. Using the triple-A, a contrast dye is placed into the bladder and images are taken of the bladder pre, during, and after urination.
