About X-Ray Right Leg AP & Lateral Views

X-ray Right Leg AP and Lateral – This is a specific type of imaging study that gets two X-rays of the right leg. The Anteroposterior (AP) view is the frontal view of the leg, and the Lateral view is a side view. These views give a thorough evaluation of the tibia, fibula, knee area, ankle area, and adjacent bones. In Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, we utilize cutting-edge digital radiography systems for the production of high-resolution images that aid in the accurate assessment of leg injuries and musculoskeletal disorders.

What is an X-Ray Right Leg AP & Lateral Views?

An X-ray right leg AP and Lateral View is a simple imaging test that does not require any radiation or cause pain. It is performed quickly and will help with the evaluation of the right leg bones to check their condition. AP and lateral projections are used together to help a doctor determine the alignment of the bones, to check for broken bones, to look for deformities, and to see if there were changes due to trauma or other bone disease. The examination is often ordered for someone who has leg pain, swelling, injury, trouble walking, or has a limited range of motion.

  • Persistent leg pain
  • Suspected tibia or fibula fracture
  • Swelling or tenderness in the leg
