About X-Ray T.M. Joint – Right Side

An X-ray TMJ – Right Side is a specialized X-ray to evaluate the right temporomandibular joint (TMJ) where the lower jaw (mandible) meets the temporal bone of the skull. It is a joint that is crucial to chewing, talking, yawning, and moving the jaw properly. Patients are usually prescribed an examination if they experience pain, jaw clicking sounds, decreased mouth opening, or trauma to the face. Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy utilizes state-of-the-art digital radiography to take a high-resolution digital film, which allows us to diagnose TMJ disorders accurately.

What is an X-Ray T.M. Joint – Right Side?

An X-ray Tomography (X–ray TM) Joint – right side is an easy, painless, non-invasive imaging examination that gives information regarding the right jaw joint. It can give clues to the proper positioning of a joint, bone structure, and abnormalities that can impact jaw function. Images may be taken with the mouth open and closed according to the clinical indication for the purpose of examining joint movements.

  • Difficulty opening or closing the mouth
