Get convenient X-Ray Homecare services at a top Advanced Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging Centre, Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy which is NABL & NABH Accredited. X-Ray Homecare is a specialised diagnostic imaging service in which portable X-ray equipment is brought to the patient's home to perform an examination when clinically appropriate. This service will be convenient to patients who are sick or injured, can't walk very far, have a medical condition, or for other reasons that make it hard for them to get to a diagnostic centre and need an X-ray.
About X-Ray Homecare
X-ray HomeCare is a diagnostic imaging service offered using an X-ray machine that is delivered to the patient's home to perform an X-ray examination as recommended. Helps patients receive imaging without the need to go to a diagnostic center.
What is X-Ray Homecare?
X-Ray Homecare is a way to conduct radiography exams at home with portable X-ray equipment. It works in the following way: images of the area to be examined are created by radiation to assist the doctor in determining the condition of the bones, joints, and the chest (or the area). The images are interpreted by a qualified radiologist, who prepares a report for the referring doctor. The findings may support clinical evaluation and treatment planning.
Common Reasons for X-Ray Homecare
Elderly Patients: For older patients who may have difficulty going to the centre for regular diagnostic imaging.
In house/bed ridden patients: Imaging patients while in bed.
Assessment after the operation: A doctor will suggest that a patient have an X-ray performed after the operation or any other procedure is performed.
Evaluation for blessure and fracture: To evaluate for fracture, bone trauma, or joint abnormalities.
Medical Examination: Chest X-rays that are provided to examine your lungs or other problems in the chest area.
Follow-Up Imaging: If a person requires follow-up for recovery and/or treatment progress, they should have repeat X-rays.
Conditions Evaluated
Bone Fractures and Injuries
X-rays can detect fractures, dislocations, and other injuries to the bones. May be used following a fall, accident, or trauma.
Joint Abnormalities
X-rays could be useful in determining joint alignment, changes to the joints, and, in some cases, structural changes to the joints.
Chest and Lung Conditions
Depending on symptoms and clinical need, the portable chest X-ray might be recommended to determine the size of the lungs, heart, and the other visible structures within the chest.
Post-Surgical Evaluation
X-ray imaging can be used after specific surgical procedures in order to determine the position of the implants, surgical devices, or the alignment of the bones.
Bone and Joint Follow-Up
Homecare X-rays can be used to track changes in bone and joint conditions, monitor healing and can be used to detect and monitor alignment issues.

The portable X-ray team visits the patient's home with the required equipment after the service has been scheduled and confirmed.
The radiographer verifies the doctor's prescription, the patient's details, and the body part to be examined.
The patient is positioned appropriately, either sitting, standing, or lying down, depending on their condition and the examination required.
The portable X-ray equipment is positioned to capture the required images while following appropriate radiation-safety precautions.
The patient may be asked to remain still or briefly hold their breath during image acquisition, particularly for chest X-rays.
The radiographer checks the images for clarity and may take additional images if clinically required.
The acquired images are reviewed by a qualified radiologist, who prepares the report for the referring doctor.
