At Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, which is an NABL & NABH-accredited diagnostic centre, you will be able to get the details of the X-ray Left Wrist AP View seamlessly at the centre. This anteroposterior (AP) X-ray will capture an image of the bones and the spaces between them inside the left wrist to evaluate the bones, and to help determine the alignment of the bones. It may aid in also determining fractures, injuries and various circumstances of the left wrist.
X-ray Left Wrist AP View is an X-ray of the anterior (front) view of the left wrist. It helps physicians to evaluate the alignment of the wrist joint, carpal bones, and the distal radius and ulna. The exam may be recommended if a traumatic injury has occurred; if there is pain, swelling, or tenderness, and you have limited mobility, it may be possible that the bone and/or joint is not working as it should. This view may be taken alone or in conjunction with other wrist views to obtain a more comprehensive view.
Controlled ionizing radiation that is used to make pictures of the bones and joints. The wrist is placed so that it is in an AP (frontal) view that is useful for showing the arrangement of the wrist bones and the joint spaces. The final exam will help the doctor recognize some bone lesions, fractures, and other alignment abnormalities of joints. A radiologist assists in making a diagnosis from the image using the clinical information and the symptoms.
The AP view will assist in detecting fractures of the distal radius, distal ulna, and carpal bones. If required, any additional opinions might need to include all details of an accident and/or fine fractures.
This image may demonstrate what has happened to the wrist bones' alignment and may reveal that they have been displaced or there is a problem with the alignment after trauma.
The AP view will show the wrist joint spaces and will be able to show any changes that may be associated with the onset of arthritis or other joint changes or disorders.
A wrist X-ray may demonstrate certain bone lesions, deformities, or structural abnormalities. Further imaging may be needed to characterise some findings. Additional imaging might be considered if a more detailed exam is needed.
They can be useful to assess the position of the bones after a wound, and helpful to determine if there is a difference that has occurred since a fracture or dislocation.
The AP view could be helpful for assessing alignment and healing in conditions of a fractured wrist, and can be compared to previous X-rays.
