At Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, which is an NABL & NABH Accredited Diagnostic Centre, you can get your X-Ray Right Ankle Oblique View service with advanced radiology and diagnostic imaging services. An oblique X-ray view, which will help to look at the shape of the bones, alignment of the joints, and fractures and other abnormalities that may lead to symptoms of ankle pain, swelling, and/or difficulty walking.
X-ray Right Ankle Oblique View is an X-ray image that is taken of the right ankle in an “oblique” position, looking at it sideways. This view is helpful in some circumstances to be able to appreciate some bone changes which may not be appreciated on the normal views. This exam can be taken in conjunction with other views of the ankle X-rays to assist in the evaluation of injuries, joint abnormalities and an evaluation of structural changes in the right ankle.
Making an image with X-rays involves a small amount of ionizing radiation to create images of bones and joints. Examination of the ankle will be carried out at an angle (oblique view) and will show the position of certain bones and their relationships at an alternative angle. The photo may help to spot fractures, as well as abnormal shapes or alignment of the bones. The doctor might order further imaging tests or views of the ankles based on the problematic area of clinical concern.
This is a view looking askew, and may help to visualize some fractures of the ankle bones. Additional radiology or special tests may be requested if a fracture is felt to be present but cannot be identified in the initial X-rays.
The crooked projection (angled) adds information on an abnormal position in comparison to the interaction between some of the ankle bones and can help with diagnosis.
The X-ray may show selected bony or joint-surface abnormalities. An oblique ankle view alone cannot diagnose ankylosing spondylitis, which requires clinical assessment and appropriate investigation.
The oblique view can provide information about the location of the injuries on the bones that are visible from the view if the injury was caused by a fall, twist, or impact.
X-rays may show degenerative changes, such as osteophytes (bone spurs) and joint-space narrowing. They do not directly diagnose ligament or tendon tears.
An exam may reveal a variation in the bone, deformity, or some other abnormality requiring a clinical interpretation or investigation.
Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy is an NABL and NABH-accredited laboratory in the field of Diagnosis and Treatment under the Medical Sciences category and has a specialty in Medical and Healthcare Technology under the Diagnosing branch of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Pathology. Our imaging philosophy has a patient-centered form of optimal exam protocol methods, excellent diagnostic imaging with an excellent radiology interpretation and patient care oriented experience. We hope to make the process of diagnosis as smooth and pleasant as possible and give Doctors a report that will assist them in decision-making.
We will get you a "Right Ankle Oblique View" X-ray, after which you can set up an appointment for Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy to get this particular X-ray. This study may provide additional information to your doctor to assist in his/her diagnosis.
