Advanced Radiology and diagnostic imaging services at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, NABL & NABH Accredited Diagnostic Centre gives you X-ray right wrist AP view test. This is done to evaluate possible abnormalities in the bone alignment, joint space, or fractures of the wrist, as well as possible other abnormalities that can cause wrist pain, swelling, or limited movement.
Xray is usually ordered to see all the bones and joints from a front-to-back view of the right wrist. It enables Assessment of the alignment and composition of the wrist as well as confirmation of injury or a chronic pain or joint disease that disrupts the function of the wrist. The examination might be carried out as part of an injury evaluation, a wrist complaint, or after a bone disease has already been diagnosed. If a more extensive evaluation is warranted, a more extensive evaluation may be suggested.
In X-ray imaging, a small amount of ionizing radiation is passed through the bones and joints to form an image. The Distal Radius and Ulna, Carpal bones, and Wrist joint are seen in the AP view of the right wrist. This exam may be useful to detect fractures, dislocations, decreased joint space, deformities of the bones, and some degenerative changes. Then, with clinical examination, the results are correlated with the signs/symptoms and medical history.
The AP view may be useful to recognise a fracture of the distal radius, distal ulna, and for the recognition of any visible carpal bones. If there is a suspicion of fracture but this is not clearly seen, then further views or imaging may be required.
The Carpal Bones make up the wrist and aid in its action and stability. X-ray images may be helpful in identifying some fractures, abnormalities of these bones that are readily apparent, and deformities.
The image might reveal the signs of degenerative joint disease such as joint space narrowing, osteophytes, and more.
The exam may help detect abnormal bone shape or alignment, which might make some functions of the wrist abnormal or require additional study.
They sometimes take X-rays to help them find out the position of the bones after being injured, and to see visible changes in the bones. To monitor healing, as clinically indicated, you may have to perform the imaging procedure repeatedly.
Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, a diagnostic centre with NABL & NABH Certification, operates in the departments of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Pathology. The Imaging Services are firmly driven by: Exam procedures, Quality diagnostic images, Experienced radiology interpretations, and patient-centred care. We want to give patients a convenient and efficient diagnostic experience, and reliable reporting for clinical decision-making.
Patients who have a doctor's prescription for an X-Ray Right Wrist AP View can make an appointment for it at Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy. The examination is used to evaluate the bone and joint relationship of the right wrist as part of a clinical evaluation.
