The diagnostic centre is accredited for Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, where you can get an NCCT Neck test. One imaging test, which is not routinely done with IV contrast, is called NCCT Neck (Non-Contrast Computed Tomography of the neck) to get cross-sectional images of the neck soft tissues, lymph nodes, airway, and visible bone structures. It is useful in the evaluation of neck swelling, palpable masses, enlarged lymph nodes, suspicious masses, and airway abnormalities, among others. The scan can provide information about the location and size of the abnormality and be helpful in further diagnosis and treatment planning. Our centre is dedicated to obtaining high-quality images with state-of-the-art computed tomography (CT) scanning equipment and appropriate scanning procedures to ensure that detailed images are obtained and diagnostic reports are accurate and meaningful.
NCCT Neck evaluates the soft tissues, lymph nodes, airway, and visible bony structures of the neck. A dedicated cervical spine CT may be required when detailed assessment of the cervical vertebrae is the primary objective. It may be recommended if the doctor wants to explore a deformity of the neck or if symptoms suggest that doctors need to use a cross-sectional imaging test.
This test can help detect areas of soft tissue abnormality (selected), enlarged lymph nodes, calcifications, and structural changes. In Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, adequate imaging interventions are associated with proper clinical evaluation and treatment to benefit the patient's care needs.
NCCT Neck refers to the imaging of the neck with unenhanced computed tomography (CT) scans. It uses X-rays and computer processing to produce cross-sectional images of the neck without intravenous contrast material.
A scan can assist in showing the extent, location, and size of some abnormalities of the neck soft tissues, lymph nodes, airway, and visible bones. Depending on the clinical judgement of the surgeon, further investigations by a doctor (such as CT with contrast dye, ultrasound, MRI) may be required to help the doctor better define the condition.
NCCT Neck may be useful to detect changes in the soft tissue (non-bony) neck structures. May show the site and size of selected abnormalities; several other imaging techniques may be required for some lesions.
Evaluation of visible airway structures for narrowing, displacement, or compression due to other abnormalities surrounding the airway may be facilitated by NCCT Neck.
Selected calcifications and other areas that may have abnormalities may be detected, which could cause some of the clinical symptoms or should be evaluated further.
The scan may show some of the defects that involve the easily seen cervical spine and neighbouring bones. In cases where evaluation of the spine is the initial clinical target, a dedicated cervical spine CT might be necessary.
Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy is a NABL & NABH Accredited Diagnostic Centre offering radiology, pathology, and nuclear medicine diagnostic services. Utilising advanced CT imaging technology, proper scanning protocols, and skilled radiology experts, our centre is set on delivering clear scanning images and reports. Throughout the diagnostic process, patient comfort, safety procedures, efficient coordination, and transparent pricing are of vital importance.
For patients whose doctor has suggested an NCCT Neck scan to investigate swelling of the neck, enlarged lymph nodes, a suspected mass, or another structural abnormality, ask Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy about appointment availability, preparation, and reporting time
