Get a Colour Doppler Ultrasound of the Right Lower Limb Arteries done at an advanced NABL- and NABH-certified diagnostic centre specializing in the Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging field called Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy. A non-invasive ultrasound technique used to quantify the flow of blood in the arteries and to monitor some types of abnormalities of blood vessels. The exam is directed at the arteries of the right leg/lower leg to help the doctor check for changes in circulation that might need additional assessment.
The Colour Doppler of the Right Lower Limb Arteries is an imaging test that assesses blood flow through the arteries that supply blood to the right leg. It uses normal ultrasound along with Doppler to calculate the direction of flow and the speed of blood flow, among other things, in the blood vessels. Examinations could be recommended to confirm if the leg is painful, cold, numb, and for non-healing wounds, if there is not adequate blood supply. It can help them decide whether the artery is closing down, blocked, or they are other types of difficulties with the blood flow to the right lower extremity.
USG CD (CD – Arterial of Right Lower Limbs) is a diagnostic procedure that generates images of the arteries with the help of high-frequency sound waves and evaluates the blood circulation in the arteries. Colour coding helps to indicate the direction and flow pattern of the blood flow, and the spectral Doppler provides additional estimates of the velocity of blood flow. This exam is done to assess the blood supply to the right leg and identify any defects which may interfere with blood supply to the right leg. Has no more to do with any sort of ionic radiation, and isn't seriously very uncomfortable. The number of scans conducted and complexity of the scan will determine the length of the scan.
Colour Doppler can help identify certain areas of narrowing or blockage in the arteries of the right lower leg. These abnormalities may restrict blood flow to the foot/leg.
The test might be used to help assess peripheral arterial disease, which happens when arteries become narrowed, which results in lower blood flow coming to the limbs. Findings are evaluated in conjunction with symptoms and other clinical evaluations.
Doppler ultrasound assesses flow through the arteries that are seen and consists of estimating the direction of blood flow, as well as a flow diagram. May give an indication or a tip-off to any abnormal flow pattern which could possibly indicate circulation problems.
Changes in blood flow velocity that may indicate narrowing of the artery or some other abnormality of the blood vessels can be estimated by spectral Doppler measurements.
The exam may be used to evaluate the flow of blood in the arteries of a patient if they have a non-healing wound or non-healing ulcer in the right lower leg due to decreased blood flow that might hinder healing.
Selected vascular treatments or procedures may be performed, and arterial Doppler ultrasound may be used to evaluate blood flow. The investigation process will depend on the treatment and the doctor's needs.
If needed, the exam can be used to diagnose some abnormalities of the arteries of the right lower leg. Further investigations may be suggested when necessary.
Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy is a NABL & NABH Accredited Diagnostic Centre which provides Radiology, Nuclear Medicine & Pathology services. Our diagnostic imaging approach is to ensure appropriate examination protocols, quality imaging, some level of patient comfort, and proper reporting. The imaging team performs the study requirements in order to provide an accurate study for clinically helpful evaluation, as required to meet the study requirements.
If your doctor advised having a Colour Doppler procedure done on the right lower leg arteries, contact Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy. Attach medical records, Doppler results from any previous exams (if applicable), and prescriptions.
