Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy Diagnostic Centre (NABL & NABH Accredited), an advanced center for radiology and diagnostic imaging, is providing a USG Duplicate Report. The USG Duplicate Report is a copy of a previously issued ultrasound examination report. It may be required if lost or damaged, to provide medical context when follow-up treatment is necessary, or for their medical history to obtain a referral to a hospital. The repeat report would include findings from the ultrasound report, patient information, and a note that the report is a duplicate, if patient information can be corroborated and there is a copy of the initial ultrasound report.
USG Duplicate Report: A duplicate report for an ultrasound report that has already been signed by a diagnostic imaging exam/process. A technology that uses sound waves to create a picture of the body's internal organs, tissues, and other structures to aid physicians in determining various health issues. Briefly, patients are entitled to get a second copy of their previous abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, thyroid, breast, and other scans. The report can be used to maintain a patient's medical record and can be shared with a patient's current physician to review the results of earlier medical treatment.
It does not use radiation and uses high-frequency sound waves to create images. A USG Duplicate Report is an exact duplicate of a report made from an ultrasound at an earlier period in time. It may contain a report about the examination, findings recorded, and the original sign of findings (radiologist impression), depending on the records. The duplicate report reproduces the original report if the records are available and verified, and a duplicate report will be provided. It's not new ultrasound imaging or a new interpretation of the ultrasound.
If there are multiple reports retained, the duplicate report gives the results of the original ultrasound exam.
This information includes the patient's information, date of examination, type of ultrasound, and additional information on the study relevant to the exam.
If there is an original examination included in the report given by the reporting radiologist, the original exam with the radiologist's diagnosis and opinion should be included.
Depending on the initial examination and the record retention policy of the ultrasound centre, you might be able to find the ultrasound images, printout, or any other supporting records.
Data from the patient and exam may be accessed prior to the completion of a report to make sure the appropriate data is in the report before it has to meet patient privacy rules.
